Just installed a new spa pack/blower in an older Cal Spa (approx. 12 yrs)
which I obtained for free and was supposedly in working condition except for the heater. Has two blower air control knobs. When the blower is on air is ejected into the tub, but if the LEFT knob is opened water will shoot out of the controller opening on the top of the panel. The right control does not leak water, but does not seem to matter if the knob is in or out all of the way-the same amount of air is blown into the tub. Most of the air seems to be ejected into the tub from the right side outlets. When the pump is off and the controller knobs are removed, no water is seen in the right orifice, but water at the tub level is present in the left. Do I have plumbing damage or some type of airlock??? HELP FOR A NOVICE

I think you've confused your air flow controls with your air blower.

The air blower simply will blow bubbles... usually into an injector system plumbed into the bottom and seats of the tub..... sometimes into the jet fittings....

The air control valves work in conjection with the JET PUMP, not the air blower. There is a venturi effect at each jet... and these air lines are plumbed into an Air flow control valve. If water is shooting out of ne, DO NOT replace the valve.. it's not broken. The issue lies in one or more of the jet's.. either an obstruction in the jet, or just as likely, a loose ore missing jet eyeball, or inner jet fitting.....

Thank you for your wisdom. The tub came with no manual so I'm flying blind. Could this problem relate to the fact that my booster pump is currently not working-and is the pump that controls the jets located on the left side of the tub-the same side with the problem. It stops after one or two seconds and then cycles again in a few more seconds. I have ordered a replacement?????????
