Long story shorter - My neighbor gave me a calspa spa (redundant?) because she was tired of taking care of it. Seemed like every time she wanted to use it, something was wrong and I would end up getting it going (which sometimes had it's advantages..). The final straw for her was a hose fitting that came off right after she and five of her best girlfriends hopped in for a soak. It took about five minutes for the tub to drain all over her patio. I moved it to my yard, had an eletrician hook it up, and repaired the hose fitting. It ran fine the first 4-5 times I used it, then the heater started tripping the GFI. I ordered a new heater from Calspa and installed it. The heater works fine, BUT...now the pump will not shut off. When it reaches the desired temp, the heater clicks off, but the circulation pump keeps running. I suspect it is a relay, but just thought I would post to see if anyone has had a similar problem. Don't know much about the age or model number of the spa. I would guess it is about seven or eight years old. The control box is an "Onyx control center" the "reliance plus pak" (ironic name, huh?) model. It is a two pump system and is 240 VAC 60HZ., and has air button controls.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
David
