I purchased an E5 circulation pump, and the wiring instructions given to me said that the top wire should be ground (green) understandibly. The middle wire should be hot (black) and the bottom wire should be neutral (white). But on the E5 pump, the center terminal says N for neutral which in my experience, wiring motors, that means that's where the white wire goes. The bottom terminal has an L which in my experience, stands for line, or hot. So which is right, the terminals on the E5 pump, or the wiring instructions given to me with the E5 pump? ( Don't want to toast the pump and have warranty issues.) Please respond. Thanks.

Wire it as it says on the pump. I have hooked up about 50 of them like that and they work fine. Not sure why the directions are the opposite, I never looked at them until a customer brought up the difference the other day.
