Have a Coleman 630. I didn't pay attention to the display when it said "dry" and water was low. Started it up and filled to the correct level. Temp was very low. Disregarded the "dry" message again. I know, I deserve what ever happens next but I had been out chukar hunting and was very sore.

By the next morning it was warm enough and did wonders for me. Came home that night Disregarded the "dry" message again. It ran for 5 to 10 minutes and then I smelled that smell that costs and the GFI blew. If the Jet 1 pump is off then the power stays on. As soon as the Jet 1 is turned on Low or High the GFI blows.

My wife is still wondering why I didn't investigate further when the "dry" message came up. Dumb mistake on my part.

I'm thinking it is the circulation pump itself or the heating element. Any direction would be appreciated. Also is there one side that is better to go in than another?

I'd be concerned now that the heating element is probably compromised (eg dead)and whatever is feeding it (circ pump or whatever) really needs some investigation.

A Dry signal is an indication from a Balboa Instruments M7 series that you've got repeated low flow pump problems.

It could be worse, but I don't know as I can't see what you have on your hands there.
