Greetings All,

I have an aquaflo flomaster XP2 (1.5 hp, 240V, 2 speed) pump that uses a Magnetek BN34 motor. I have ordered a replacement motor but need to figure out how to detach the impeller from the old motor shaft to separate the motor from the wet side. The attached diagram shows some kind of bolt or something (#3 in diagram) but my pump has alot of built up crud/corrosion so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I don't want to screw this up so that I have to order the wet side, too.

Thanks for any help,
Zak

I forgot to mention this in my initial post:

I'm thinking that the impeller itself screws onto the shaft and that #3 in the diagram is just a seal. The end of the shaft opposite the impeller has a slot for a screwdriver so I'm assuming this holds the shaft steady while you "hand" unscrew the impeller. But again, I want to reasonably know what I'm doing before I attempt to remove it.

the impeller, #4 unscrews from the motor. open the back of the motor and hold the shaft with a 7/16" wernch. The impeller might break in the process.

#2, the housing, is attached to the motor with 4 LONG bolts that run from the back of the moter, through it, into #2.

#3 is in fact the shaft seal which is lighty pressed on.
