I believe the pump on my Suntub - http://www.sundancespas.com/Communicati ... SunTub.pdf

is about to go. The pump noise has significantly increased with an ever-increasing whine - which I associate with the possibility that the bearings or other elements of the drive mechanism are going south.

Can someone confirm or give any insights into this? I have instructions for pump replacement and can locate a pump to purchase - but not being especially mechanically inclined, I'm wondering if there is any other solution to extend the life of the pump?

Nothing short of rebuilding the pump and replacing the motor's bearings.

That's what I thought. Replacement is clearly the less hassle option.

Thanks!
