In a moment of brilliance :? , I turned on the 30amp power to the heater/circ pump before the water was over the filter housing. Something overheated and tripped because the power light started blinking. According to the manual, power was cut for 30 seconds (actually several minutes) then restored. The pump still will not come on. Light and jet pump works fine. I've pressed the reset button on the element but that didn't reactivate the circulation pump. Yep, I need help.

Thanks to the moderator who mentioned in another post that the circulation pump runs almost in obscurity...to the point that you may not even be able to tell it's running.
After a couple of hours, I lifted the cover and noticed the water warming. Whew!

I just bought a used Tiger River Siberian ~2000 model. Jets works but I can't tell if the circulation pump is circulating. It remains cool with the jets running but turn the jets off and the pump gets REAL hot. I cannot see water cirulating out of the inlet or outlets for circulation. Bad pump or could there be a clogged line from granulated chlorine?

laing circ pumps do run fairly hot
you should have heating if the pump is working and should be able to see/feel water returning - you possibly have an airlock if no heat and no water return
