I am rebuilding a Tub that has been frozen and some Parts busted from the Ice.

One is the Air Blower Valves that you adjust the Bubbler or Air Flow with.

I am looking for the correct name I can use to locate Parts on eBay. There is no Name or Part Number on the Valves......

I am new to the diversity of the Hot Tubs, mechanisms, terminology and parts. But technologically capable to handle any fabricating etc....

The Tub I have is appearantly older. The Air Controls are ancient and the Check Valve failed and destroyed the Motor. These are 2" lines with an elaborate fabricated Coil made from PVC and elbows.....

where or what do I connect these Air Controls to the manifold, check valve and blower ?

Upon further investigation I notice there are Silent Blowers available and now seeing these Valves. I have not seen any other Tubs, so I am wondering if there is a diagram or iillustration, pics etc that give me an idea for the correct configuration to install these.

I am new to the terminology so the Searches are difficult......

Air blowers and air blower check valve generally aren't connected with air flow control valves. Different jets and different plumbing systems, two different systems.

Do you need AFC control valves, or just some 2" plumbing and a check valve?

With information gained from this group, and mathematical formulas for Jet sizes x Airflow etc....... it has become apparent that the previous installation was incorrect. Since everything was below the waterline and took on water, froze, and ruptured. I am going to need to start over.

There is 42 - 3/16" Holes and 4 - 5/8" Jets....... attached by 2" lines thru Poly Foam insulation..

I understand the mounting of a New Silent Blower and the Check Valve being above the waterline, and external of the Tub.

Without a diagram of a typical installation, it is still a mystery just where and how to optimize the Air Control Valves, Venturi and whatever else is supposed to be attached to the Blower and any Waterlines.

I can take and send any Photos if it will help.

The venturi isn't part of the air blower plumbing, nor are air flow control valves.

The air blower is independant, it just blows air through those tiny holes, there isn't any way to control the amount of air.

The venturi and air flow control valves determine the amount of air coming through the water jets. There's a venturi created at each jet, when there's adequate water flow via the jet pump. The air flow control valves will either allow the air to be sucked into the jet, making it feel more powerful, or not. This has nothing to do with the air blower.

The air blower is just plumbed into the tiny holes, independant of any jet pump plumbing. The check valve just prevents any water backing up into the air blower. The plumbing for the air blower and water jets are separate.

Oh, I think I see now.......

the Air Controls and/ or Venturi, sort of provide a Siphon of Air to be provided from the Water Pump Pressure ?

Completely seperate from the Air Blower that runs a seperate manifoild for just the Pin Holes alone ?

What I thought were Air Controls are actually (3 or 4 way) Diverters on the older models and way too much trouble to convert, and easier searching for retro fits ?

The problem I have been having is lot of sites seem to have several definitions and terminology for the same Name of Parts.

I have still never really found a clear or complete illustration, but I am now beginning to understand how much diversity there is.
