My new 2006 Hot Springs Sovereign Spa was delivered yesterday. I had an electrician come out today to hook it up. He was recommended by the store where the spa was purchased and has installed hundreds of this model spa, so I know it was done right. After being connected, the spa ran for a few minutes then died completely. We cut power to the spa for several minutes and when the power was turned back on, the display shows a dash and the light icon, althoguh the light is not on. The control buttons do not do anything, if light plus and minus (on the main control pad) are pushed at the same time the display shows all icons and images like some sort of test screen. I do have a technician coming in a week to repair it but wondered if anyone could help in the mean time?

230 volt with a 30amp and 20amp breaker in the sub box. Controls for jets, clean, temp up and down and light up and down on main control pad. Controls inside the spa for jets, light up and down.

UPDATE: Just went out to try turning it on again and this time the display said 7888. Could this be some type of error code? Is there anyplace online to look up error codes for a Hot Springs spa?

Just wait for the service guy, he'll get it straightened out...
