Hello all, I just bought a used Vita, 2007 what I believe is an Aurora or Versailles hot tub. Everything worked fine, but less than 2 weeks in, the spa side control has gone dead. It is an L-50, but I have done research, and it looks like an L-200 would also work. It appears that the plastic case on the spa side control cracked, possibly during the move, and water got in. I have checked everything on the main circuit board down below, (fuses, voltages, etc.) and everything looks good on it.

My question concerns my options at this point. Vita, of course has just been sold as a company, so getting parts from the local dealer is not a route I want to try. Even on line, a new spa side controller is $250 - $350, and who knows who really has stock of an original replacement part for a company that has been recently sold. So this brings me to what I think is my only real option, a replacement spa pack.

Now I'm an electrical engineer with 30 years experience installing and servicing x-ray machines, so I can handle this. I ran 60 Amp 220V power to the single pump spa, so I have plenty of power if I want to upgrade. I have a 3KW heater, but I'm looking at a spa pack kit with a 5.5KW heater optionfor the same price. So I'm asking if anyone with spa experience would see a problem upgrading to a higher KW heater, since I have adequate wiring to the hot tub.

Also, anyone see any other option that might be better as far as replacement parts, or any advice on where I might be able to find a great deal on a replacement spa pack would also be appreciated. Actually, any help anyone might be able to lend would be much appreciated. Thanks.
