Thanks for this board, I have used it for water quality information for the 6.5 years since I installed my spa but this is my first opportunity to register and ask something. Coleman Model 455, year 2000 240V system. The control pack is made by Balboa Instruments and says 'Listed Spa 37T6, 4-06-00'.

1. A month or two ago, the main control pad lost its background lighting on the display side (the button side is still illuminated). Not a problem in the daytime, but at night it cannot be seen anymore. Are there bulbs/leds in the keypad that can be replaced?

2. This morning there was a 'Sn1' code on the control panel. I powered the spa off/on and it has been running fine for the past 6 hours. The water heated back up to 102 in normal time. I know where the flow and temperature sensors are located, and I believe that the HI temp sensor is in the heater element housing. Should I test the HI sensor or can these things just happen? I think it did the same thing once 4 or 5 years ago and never happened again.

This spa had an air injector leak that was fixed by Coleman under warranty when it was a year old. I replaced the ozone generator unit about 2 years ago. Aside from the leak, its been a great addition to the family. TIA.

The LED's in the topside can be replaced, but no way near what I would call feasable. The topside board is potted inside a gell and you would have to completely remove all that and then get to the LED's.... problem is now that you removed all that stuff, the board will eventually start to corrode. Not worth the hassle. Just keep a mini mag lite nearby as they are nice and waterproof.... tie a string on it and hang off the side.

The SN1 could be a few possible causes, circ pump that is flaky, sticking contactor, etc...

Remember...patience is a virtue! Everyone that participates on this site do it voluntarily, may not be on for days at a time, and not all that do reply can help in every situation.

charger_1, thank you for taking the time to reply. I have enjoyed looking at your restoration pictures elsewhere on the board.

The error code has not recurred, so I'm just going to have to keep an eye on things for a bit. Come to think of it, there was a t-storm in the area last weekend so I'm hoping it was just a disturbance.

Thanks for your advice on the panel, the only problem in keeping a flashlight around with kids is they tend to make them disappear. :D
