I have a 220v Leisure Bay with a Balboa 25502 Rev 3A (P/N 51789). The hot tub was functioning fine and then stopped. The GFCI is fine. I am able to measure the two hot and neutral all fine going into the board.

The top side control is notlighting up, screen is not showing any info, no buttons respond. I replaced with new top side control thinking that was the problem but that made no difference.

All fuses seem to be fine. I am able to measure voltage at all connctions comming off the board that I should be able to (as best as I can tell, with no manual and limited knowledge of what I am doing).

It was running and powered on when it failed so I figured it was a sensor trip of some kind but can't find any resets on this board or thesensors themselves. I have cycled the power a number times with no effect.

Does anyone know that this could be? Is there anywayto get a hold of wiring diagrams or manuals for this circuit board? Is there a way to tell if the circuit board itself is the problem?

Any help would be appreciated. I have run ou tof ideas.

Jeff

Hi Imacomber,

The board you mentioned comes up as a "G series" board LBI 104.
(8 button spaside LCD display, backlighted)
This board is a 220V operated board. The "Buss Fuse" holder, and fuse protect the pumps, and also power the board transformer. This holder is located at the bottom of the control box next to the transformer. The SC 30 fuse is on a 220v circuit, so metering voltage on either end tells you nothing.
You must read either 220v between line #2 at terminal block on BOTH sides, or 0 between line #1 terminal block on BOTH sides. Anything differently indicates a blown fuse. You may also check the fuse with a continuity test.
If your spa has a waterfall in the back, it is a 65G notorious for wearing out the 30A buss due to the Exucitive pumps they ran. ( with 2" diverter, and a 7Amp Blower load!). Also inspect the holder itself for signs of melting. If this is the case, replace the holder, and fuse. The G series board has a system fuse soldered onto the board. If blown, the board is toast.
If none of the above makes the least amount of sence, then kindly disregard, because I'm shooting in the dark, and way off base!

inhotwater.

Thank you for the reply. Mesured voltage is showing 220 on only one side of the fuse. I will pick up a new one. I really appreciate the advice. You completely made my day.
