I own the above Jacuzzi model and the heat indicator light is blinking. I had a rep out 2 years ago and he replaced the Pressure switch wih a Balboa 30409, 1 PSI switch. It is doing it again and I found the part on line and was considering replacing it myself. It does not appear to be too difficult. This would be the third switch in 6 years of owning the spa. Does it sound like it is the pressure switch? Any advise would be helpful. The unit does run periodically but for the most part it just blinks.

Use a 30408 and make sure your filter is clean. Try running without a filter to see if it acts different, a filter may look clean but still restrict water flow enough to cause a problem

Jeff, thank you very much for your suggestions. I took the filter out and I am presently letting it soak. However the unit still does not go on w/o the filter. Though it was worth a try, still no luck. I read where you suggest using Pressure Switch 30408 though the part I have is 30409. Is there any significant difference in the parts from Balboa? Thanks again for your help.

If your switch has 2 brass push on connections coming out the top of the switch it is a style that they suggest you avoid, the preferred switch is one with terminals coming out 90 degrees to the treaded connection. If I have totally confused you I can send you a picture.

Jeff,
I have the switch here at my work desk and it is the Balboa 30409 ant the brass male electrical contacts are at a 90 degree to the threads. If I can explain it, they are offset from each other. The top plug is about 1/2 back from the bottom plug. Does thjis make sense? If this is the correct one, do you still suggest the 30408? If you send a photo, I can confirm or deny. Let me know if it easier to call you. Thanks again for walking me thru this process, you have been helpful.
