I have a 97 cal spas tub with some problems.

The corner with the neck jets are not working.

It has a topside control by it that really seems to be doing nothing. The control says "system 4001" "smart spa". The left button on the control says "jets" and the right button says "turbo".

When I press turbo, "TURBO" is displayed on the main topside control, but when I press jets, nothing happens.

Acutally, none of the jets in the photos are working, but everyone else seems to be.

The topside dial controls on the left and right are side jet controls min to max, and they are working fine.

Basically, I am just trying to troubleshoot that corner with the neck jets.

I took a shop vac and got water to suck out of the neck jets (above the water line), so I assume nothing is plugged.

Any other suggestions??

sounds to me like your second jet pump (the one labeled "turbo") isn't working. Many spas will section the jets, a certain few to one pump, the rest to the other. No pump, no jets.

There are 3 pumps in it, 2 jet pumps and the circulation pump. I actually replaced one today. They are both working.

When I press "jets", the first pump comes on and some jets start flowing.
When I press it again, the second pump kicks on and more jets start working.
When I press it a thrid time, the first pump shuts down and only the second pump is working.
Finally, the forth time both pumps are shut down.

So, I don't think it is a pump problem, and all the 'T' valves are open.

I'm lost!!!!

Thank for your input.

Hi kmolls,

Those jets may open and close individually. The outside face turned counterclockwise should open.
Maybe just maybe

inhotwater... that's exactly where my next stop was LOL Just wanted to make sure the jet pump was working first. Those hydro-air jets do have the adjustment where you can individually open and close them just by turning the outer face. Strange how someone would shut them ALL off in that seat tho... but I suppose they wanted stronger jet pressure elsewhere.

I second the jets being shut off.
