A friend just gave me his 95 broken Sundance Cameo. He said the heater was not working properly. Only getting to about 80 degrees. I just set up the unit and filled it up with cold water. The display read “ICE” and “45 Degrees” after about 2 day it got up to 62. After careful inspection of the main controller board I noticed that the middle relay on the lower left corner was fried. The relay says Aromat # JT1AE-TMP-B-DC12V. There are 3 relays but only the middle one looks fried. The local spa shop wants about $600 bucks for a new board however I just ordered a new relay online for under $5 buck and thought I would solder it in myself.

Does anyone know what the middle relay controls?

If I’m not successful does anyone recommend a circuit board repair place? I hate to spend $500 buck when I don’t have it.

Regards,
Nick

Is your heater a 230 volt model? If so that is probably a relay for one of the phases. It would explain why it takes so long to heat up.

What model is your control panel? I might be able to come up with the information you need. The reason it seems that your tub was partially heating was due to air temperature... After 2 days, the water increased to the given air temp.
