Post subject: Sequoia Spa-Acura Digital Control Panel Problem
PostPosted: Sun Mar 21, 2004 7:42 pm
I have a Sequoia Spa and it uses an Acura Spa System Power Master with Digital Control Display. The buttons on the control panel are not working. The program button light is flashing and I can't get any other button to work. The spa filters and heats fine. The buttons on the control panel will not work. Any ideas on what is wrong?

That spa controller is actually made by ACC.

What it sounds like is your topside control is stuck. Depending upon how old it is (if it's still in warranty), you may want to call your dealer and see if you can get a substitute spa side to plug in and test it.. and if necessary, replace it for you.

Otherwise you can call us and we'll see what we can do about a side control, 1-877-936-2223. Unfortunately, this doesn't guarantee that it will solve the problem, but it's generally the first place to start.

Other things, have you tried turning the main power off to the hot tub, waiting a minute, then turning it back on again to see if that could possibly clear out the error?

Thanks for your information. I have tried to shut it off and turn it back on but the buttons still do not work. How hard is it to replace the control panel?

My husband just took the control panel off and guess what? It was loaded with ants. We are just going to get a new control panel and hook it up. If that does not work, any suggestions on what we should do next?

Thanks

Those systems are pretty robust, so you'll probably be ok with a new spa side control. If that doesn't do it, then a new circuit board in the controller is in order.

I really don't think it will come to that though.

We replaced the topside controller. When we turned the spa on the overheat light came on and #23 was flashing on the control panel. The buttons did not work either.

Also, I think we had a air bubble and the heater element blew out.

Any ideas.

Carol
