Heaters stopped working (heater light flashes) and a FLC error code appears on the screen. Do I need to replace the flow control switch or pump, how do I troubleshoot? Jets work OK. Any guidance would be much appreciated. It is getting very COLD outside as I write this.

I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM LAST YEAR ON MY DIMENSION ONE SPA, I REPLACED THE FLOW CONTROL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HEATER AND IT WORKED FINE. THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST OPTION SINCE IT IS THE CHEAPEST FIX. DO YOU HAVE A BALBOA 25501 BOARD IN YOUR SPA PACK? PHIL

An FLC means that the flow or pressure switch is closed when the pump is off. If you have a pressure switch, try adjusting it to a higher psi setting by turning the adjustment knob clockwise.
If you have an ohm meter, put it on the terminals with the pump on low and turn the switch adjustment clockwise until the circuit opens. Then back up a quarter of a turn so it is closed again. That will calibrate it to the strength of your pump.
If you have a flow switch you can remove it and check to see if it had any hair or debris wrapped around it and holding it closed. Clean it up and remember to orient it properly when you put it back in.
In some cases the offending switch does need to be replaced.

[Phil, Thanks for your response. I seems like I have a GECKO Board (name on the schematic 11-29-99). Where did you purchase your flow control switch, and what did it cost?]I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM LAST YEAR ON MY DIMENSION ONE SPA, I REPLACED THE FLOW CONTROL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HEATER AND IT WORKED FINE. [I will check the orientation this weekend, if it looks OK and opens & closes, I will purchase a new switch & install it. Looks very simple to me to disconnect and put in a new one, thanks for your response, Al Urban]An FLC means that the flow or pressure switch is closed when the pump is off.
