I have a 1992 Coleman Spectrum 200. It hasn't been used in about 8 years. I fixed the leaks and got her running. It runs fine with the pump on full power. When I turn it down to low power, my heater kicks off, and my display flashes FLO, current temp, and ECON.

Any ideas on how to fix? Manual says to call repairman when FLO is flashing. I cannot justify paying top dollar for somthing that I could do myself.

Thanks

Hi causeofhim.

A flow error is usually generated by the flow switch. The job of the flow switch is to insure adequate water movement over a submersable element.
A typical flow switch is a diaghram actuated devise. If the switch is inactive for a long time, it's callibration may stiffin, leading to more PSI needed to actuate it. If the pump is running on low speed, and there is adequate flow or movement on low speed, then the pressure switch is suspect.

Hi,

Not a spa tech but most spas operate on the same principal. Recently encountered a FLO warning on my sundance capri display and found a defective circulation pump motor starting capacitor. Replaced same and all works as advertised. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Len in Baguio
