We have replaced both sensors, pressure switch and high end probe. Today we bit the bullet and called in a professional spa place in another town, of course it is going to cost us at least $220 for the service call. But I will tell you today's ordeal. Got over there this morning and of course the dots were flashing, pulled the breaker put back in and dots still there, so pulled again waited a few minutes and back in dots gone, turned the heat down, and all of a sudden we heard like a fan noise in the pump, finally shut off, and then 3 loud clunks and the dots reappeared, plus smelled a burning smell by the circuit board. Talked with this other spa guy and he said sounded like the pump is going bad. Then in the middle of all of this down the mountain we heard a loud pop what sounded like a transformer blowing, took power out for a couple of seconds on hottub, but did go back on, spa guy said to leave it turned off and put a heat light or heater underneath, went back from lunch and talked to PDC spas he said could I turn it on and just leave the pump running this would prevent a freeze, well at that point we have no power, hubby checked power coming out of wall which was fine, so now pretty sure the circuit board is blown. So this pump was replaced in May 07, 3 year warranty, at this point we have no idea if pump blew circuit board or the transformer blowing. PDC spas is sending down a new pump, another pressure switch and the wire, and the spa guy is coming over next Tuesday, but this way he will have all parts in hand. It sure has been a week from, well you know where!!!
Thanks for your help and I will keep you posted.
Linda

Well, as long as this guy knows what he's doing it sounds like there won't be anything left to give you problems. New pump, board, HL, pressure switch, and temp probe. Good luck, and let us know.

Just wanted to thank you for all the help and to let you know it is finally fixed after 2 months of almost going nuts! We had a very knowledgable spa guy come out from Asheville, NC (Sun Stuff of Asheville) and he replaced the circuit board and all is good. Prior to that he had to replace a blown fuse to get it up and running on the old circuit board because of the power company blowing a transformer. He looked for any burnt areas on the circuit board front side and could not find anything, so checked the pump and said the pump was fine, no problems with it, even took the heater cap off and checked inside and said all was good. When he finally took the old circuit board off, on the back side where the heater plug went in on the front was a brown mark. What a relieft to finally have it fixed. Thanks, Linda
