I have a sundance sentry 800 spa. I was getting the flow code when i turned on the circulation pump. I talked to a spa tech and he said it was possible something was plugging the impellar. we were messing around with it just testing out different things when the circulation pump started to smoke, So i shut it down. Now the watchdog code is on and i can not get my spa to respond to anything. I took apart the wet end of the pump and replaced the seal shaft and found two of the propellar holes to be plugged with a plastic piece, which should now take care of the flow code. But i have to find out what happened when we smoked the motor that is causing the watchdog code to come on. If anyone has any ideas please help. Oh and when i had the pump apart the shaft spins freely. thanks

A watchdog code is diplayed usually when the heater has been fired when it is not supposed to have been...Usually if you turn off the power overnight this will reset the system and return control to you. If you feel that the pump may have been a cause of the watchdog then I would power the system while the motor is not yet connected to see if there is no watchdog, if the watchdog reappears only when the pump is connected then you have smoked your motor to death and need to replace it.
