OK, here goes best I can delvier
1. Sundance 1998 Cameo
2. decicated 220 amp, running on dedicted 50 amp breaker
3. Control is a Sentry 850
4. Topside control is a push button Sentry Zcommand center
5. 2 Pumps
6. Thermostat is a pish button on top side control
7. Heater type is a plastic housing, water goes through bottom, to the top of heater then flows out to the right of the tub
8. Theer is an ozonator
I bought this used for a good deal (ok, well maybe). Hooked up, ran ok for about five minutes then began tripping the breaker. OK, worked to try to isolate the breaker. Found out that for some reason pump 2 when connected flips the breaker.
Disconnect the pump two and run, all is fine....so it seems. Runs an entire day, temp goes up to about 103...YEAH! Kids are happy and I have the everlasting joy a man gets when he can say "Yeah, I fixed that..kind of".
Wife is excited, we leave it on as she wants to get in it later that night. We leave, heater is on, pump 1 should run as it needs to to heat it. Come home, and the inevitable "WATCHDOG" code appears. I am frustrated, try some research, and I find this forum (much to my liking by the way, good job). Hooray, salvation, or at least other people who are in a similar situation and at least we can all grumble together.
I see on the forum that maybe leaving it off for at least 30 minutes can reset the watchdog. I wait 1 hour, still a no-go. I go to sleep. This morning, eager to see what damage I can do in the daylight, I go out and flip the breaker on, tub comes on, outstanding. All is running ok.
For giggles, I connect the pump 2 to see what happens. It all works! I am stunned, surprised, and perplexed at the same time and I get that "what the heck jsut happened" look on my face, but I am content...somewhat.
On this model, pump 2 (which is always on high) cannot run while the heater is on. But, I turn the pump off, the heater is on, all is running ok. ODD, now everything works, including pump 2...for a while.
About 10 minutes of everything running as it should, the breaker flips. Dang it. Disconnect pump 2 and try again. Awesome! Works just as it did the day before the watchdog came on.
It runs for about 2 hours this morning, no problem. Then, my wife comes in to tell me that it has shut off. I check it out, the watchdog is back on the error message. Dang it!
I saw in one of the postings that the heater may be doing this. What else may I want to check out?
And, a much more simple question, how can I seal the holes the metal handles are sitting in? the previous owner let the seals erode and they are leaking water through to the exterior.
Thanks, Bob
