Post subject: Catalina Coronado Limited/CAT 100, GFCI Breaker Trips
PostPosted: Fri Mar 26, 2004 4:29 pm
I purchased my spa in May 2003, have been pretty happy with it. I use it regularly year round. A couple of days ago, I found that the GFCI breaker had tripped. I reset it, and it continues to trip. I have contacted the dealer to have someone come and check it out, but this has not happened as of yet. I have checked the wiring inside the spa, and it is as it was when originally installed last year. I noticed at least three fuses on the circuit board, and all of them appeared to be in good condition. Is there anything that you know of that could be going wrong with the spa, which would cause this? Any suggestions to correct the problem?

Thanks.

What I do is simply unplug everything from the spa pack and try it again. Then I plug the devices in one at a time (with the power off), power it back up, until I find the particular one that is causing it to trip.

With this knowledge in hand, then it's a lot easier to make a determination as to what's causing it to trip.
