Hi all,
I got this hotub used from a friend and over the last few years it has worked great. It's connected via my circuit breaker on the house. I hadn't used it all summer though it had water in it but the power to it was turned off. yesterday I drained it and cleaned and filled it back up. When I flip the breaker I hear a small noise in the panel box in the hottub and it sounds like the pump or possibly the blower trys to kick on and the breaker pops. usually the filter cycle starts up and it just works like I guess it's supposed to. I've read through some other posts and I'll try to troubleshoot different connection scenarios to see what component may be tripping the breaker but is there anything here that seems apparent that I may be missing. Are there specific steps I should take to troubleshoot? I won't be able to work on it until this weekend so if I don't
respond right away I will in due time. Thanks in advance!
Robert

Process of elimination.
1st, disonnect BOTH heater leads, try re-settng the breaker.
Then, one at a time, the ozone generator, air blower, etc. etc until the gulty party reveals itself.

So did what you said and the hottub doesn't trip the breaker when the blower is disconnected. So it's the blower I'm guessing? With the blower off line the control panel was working well at least the light. So now what I guess research a new or refubed blower? From this sight? any recommendations.
Thanks, Robert

Robert,
I had the exact same thing happen to me, just days apart from you. Blower trips the circuit instantly. I've seen a few people post here saying alot of manufacturers don't even use blowers anymore. I'm with you though, I kind of like the way it churns up the water.
I still wish there was a way to fix it without buying a new one!

Well thanks for the help Swine, and Dman I found out that I can just run the hottub without a blower, I didn't know that. Everything reconnected minus the blower and the hottub works great. maybe in the future I'll buy another blower but in the meantime I'm going to save myself a 100 bucks or so and continue to soak!
Thanks for all the help!
Robert
