I recently found out that my GFCI breaker is bad. I have a 50 amp Cuttler Hammer breaker, model # CH250GF. I learned that you could not just run up to Home Depot and buy one! After reserching on the web I found that one of these breakers cost over $300 new! I could not believe how expensive it was. I see that I can get a refurbished one for a litte over $100. I also saw a Square D box and breaker sold together for spas at Home Depot for around $100. My question is why is this particular breaker so expensive? Is it OK to get the refurbished one? Are these better that the Square D type breakers? I am curious what breakers everyone else is using and what they paid.

Thanks in advance!

I hope you shopped around. There is one on ebay now at $10 ending in a couple days. Brand new in box. Other sites are listed for $100-$175 also new. Good luck.
