I just did a conversion from 110v to 220v on my BlueRidge Spa model600-66. Now the GFI on the side of the house trips every time I try to flp the breaker box on. I think the problem may be with the wiring in the spa pack. I can disconnect one the wires on the gfi in the spa pack and the breaker will come on.. Help please.

One thing to note, and it happens all the time...

Please read the following carefully....

A 50 amp GFCI breaker will have (4) wires hooked up directly to it.

If the neutral from the spa control box is hooked up to the neutral bar in the subpanel, the breaker will trip instantly.

The GFCI breaker has a permantly attached pigtail, as well as 3 additional terminals (two hot and neutral) for a total of (4) wires

When incorrectly wired, (most commonly) both hot leads on the breaker are wired properly, the permantly attached pigtail is wired to the neutral bar, and the neutral terminal on the breaker is left blank. The neutral from the spa is incorrectly wired to the Neutral bar in the subpanel instead of the neutral terminal on the GFCI breaker.

To remedy that problem, simply remove that neutral from the neutral terminal bar, and attach it to the neutral terminal on the GFCI breaker

Good luck!
