My brand new Hot Spring Soveriegn (model II) spa was delivered yesterday. The spa is connected to a subpanel with a 20amp and 30 amp breaker. This subpanel is connected to a 50amp breaker in the house. All are GFCI.

The manager of my local Hot Spring retailer was here, and he helped me connect the spa. Once connected, he asked me to flip on the power to verify we had power. I did. The breakers stayed on for about a second, then tripped. He then instructed me to fill the tub and power it up, and he left.

I filled the tub, and tried to turn on the power. Now, when flipping the breakers (both act the same) on, they IMMEDIATELY trip.

Did we break something when we powered it up with no water? Is there any other common problem I can check?

Thanks....
Ron

Never mind... the breakers in the subpanel were both bad. After we replaced them, all is well and we're tubbing!
