Last year this happened I disconnected power source and did some checking reconnected and powered up fine. This year constantly trips the the breaker.
Model Laser Select Year is 1999 or 2000 not sure. Power 230VAC 50A
I have disconnected the heater power source and now the spa does turn on. The pump does seem slow or maybe restricted.
So should I replace the heater? The heater terminals have some rust with a little moisture around one of them.
How much would a heater run around a $120 or so?
Thanks! Ron

From what I was told, if the resistance on the heater is 8 to 10 ohms then it is good.

Hi Again,
Check the heater with an Ohm meter and .0185 Ohms... with a good about of rust on the terminals to the heater.
Once disconnected the spa does not trip the breaker. How do I know what p/n of heater to order. Any help is appreciated..
Thanks in advance! Ron

so replaced my heater now working again. Heater is working and no more circuit breaker tripping. But have an FL error.
Need to trouble shoot this problem... I am replacing a couple of faulting jets and then report back.
Any suggestion on the FL or how to clear? if I disconnect the pressure switch I can get the FL to go away but if I reconnect just get an FL.
This is a Flow issue???
thanks!

Probably faulty flow switch. Do you know where it is? You can test by disconnecting it from cont panel and jumping the CP terminals. Error code should go away if the flow switch is the problem. Could also be circ pump. It supplies water thru the heater at all times it is on. FLow sensor detects flow from the circ pump or shuts down the heater.
