Hello all,

Picked up a new-to-me used spa (unknown brand) with NuWave 1000 control pack. Theoretically was working well at previous owners install.

Electrician/friend helped me wire new 50Amp 220 service to new 50a spa disconnect distribution. Everything works/is correct to this point.

With my incoming black and white wires (from spa disconnect) attached to black and white wires (respectively) on the GFI on the Spa controller, the spa disconnect panel trips immediately. With either disconnected, it does not trip.

No, I don't have a good working knowledge of electricity, nor GFI

Where to start trouble shooting? Could it be the GFI, or downstream of GFI. Images attached.
