I've adopted a 10-12 year old Leisure Bay spa. I don't mind the housebreaking (leaks on the floor et.) but the puppy just won't heat up!

It's a 5 person tub on a 20 amp ASI Spa Pack. I replaced the heating element (it was grounding out against the case due to corrosion)., but it's still not heating up!! The Heater light goes on, the thermostat and timer clock appear to work (click on and off) on the top mount controller the heat and ready lights work.

This is my first spa and I'm finding info hard to come by but I have a couple of questions:
1. Should I feel the heater flow tube grow warm to the touch from the elelment inside? (It's not...for the record)
2. How do I test if the element is working properly?
3. There is a TecMark 4010 pressure switch next to the heater element leads. What does this do? (Mfr site tells me nothing) and what does the adjustment (+ to -) do?

Thanks in advance!

Don

From what I've been reading... this is not unusual for a tub this size and a heater this small.

My other questions still hold if anyone has a reply.

Thanks.

Don
