ive had my tub runningfor a few months, and working great, i changed the water in it today and after i filled it up and turned it on, when i put it on clean cyle for the ozonator, the breaker tripped, does the water need to be a certain temp first? would a bad ozonator trip the breaker?

Is it possible you may have accidentally gotten something wet during your fillup? If so, this would cause your GFI to trip. If all was fine before the drain down and refill, I would suspect something got wet in the process. Wait a day or two and if it's still tripping out, you may have a bad heater element. If the tub was "on" when you drained it, it is possible that it called for heat and turned on the heater dry (dry fire) and burned out the elemnet.
