I suspect that your fuse holder is old and worn out.

To run heater current through a fuse, is a little unorthodox.

I guess this is a 115 V Plug-In Spa?, and it's not digital?

What's the rating of this fuse, and what's the maximum current rating of the hot tub? Also, I can't see the mechanics of this thing is there any way you can get me a photo of it, either uploaded here or sent to image91 @ spanet.net.

Ok stop immediately... don't run this thing anymore.

You were referring to a circuit breaker not a fuse.

If this is correct, then your problem is that the wiring connectors to the breaker are really worn out.

You need to disconnect those things, cut them off, strip back new wire and solder the wires directly to the breaker.

This should solve your problem.

If you continue to run it as is, you'll damage your breaker.

Then does the fuse holder have removeable wire connectors?

If so then repeat the above... Only substitute fuse holder for circuit breaker.

And if you want to verify if I'm correct on this, then after this thing has a chance to get hot... power it down (unplug the spa) and see if the wires connecting to the fuse holder are hot.

Remove the female crimp connectors and solder the wires directly to the fuse holder male quick disconnect fittings. If your fuse holder is new and still not damaged from the heat, this problem should go away.
