Hello,

We have a 2001 Sundance Altamar spa and I believe the heater element needs to be replaced. If I can find it, I'll do the tests first. We have taken the sides off and can find the flow switch and the control pack as well as all the pumps. I don't see anything that looks like the heater element unless it is behind the control pack. I can post pictures if that will help.

Thanks,

NKinison

We did find the heater element and it looked fine. It's located in an enclosed case attached to the Spa Control Pack.

We were having problems with the water being too hot and the GFCI tripping. After reading the forums, I decided to replace the heat sensor. The tub worked fine for about 1 week then started tripping the GFCI again. Ran each of the pumps separately but could not figure out what was tripping it. I disconnected the digital display cable and re-connected it. It has been up and running without tripping the GFCI for over 3 weeks. And the temperature is accurate.
