I've inherited a SPA with the house i just purchased - the sellers advertised that the SPA worked but it wasn't filled so I didn't verify - guess I learned the lesson the hard way!

Anyhow it is a 1999 Coleman Cooperage Model 105 and I filled it up with water and it didn't work. The only thing that works is the temp display on the control panel and the light. When i select the jet buttons i hear a clicking noise on the circuit board and the pump. The pump has a quiet humm for a second then it goes away. After a while the pump/motor feels kind of warm. I'm not sure if the heater works, i was more concerned about the pump not working. When i do this the breaker is not tripping.

Things i've done:
- Got manual off internet and traced all electrical paths to ensure it was properly wired/connected for 120V - it was.
- Replaced fuses - no luck
- Flushed out pipes by sticking hose in the hole under the filter
- Swapped circuit breaker from a 20A to 30A - no luck
- Set jumper pin from 50A to 20A - no luck

Any ideas? :?: This is my first SPA and I am completely lost! Thanks in advance!

Chris

You need a new pump motor... or your motor repaired.

Thanks for the reply. I've searched the Internet for new pumps but cannot find the same model no. pump (probably since it is almost 10 years old). It currently has a Flo-Master HP no. 02115519-2 and is 1.5HP with 2 jet settings. Is there a direct replacement or can i put any 120V 1.5HP pump in its place? There are so many types of pumps out there.

Thanks again!
