I have just purchased a used 1998 Hot Springs Sovreign model spa and love it. The lady I purchased it from kept it in immaculate condition. I am wanting to add an ozonator to it but when I called my dealer today they said it would be 499.99 just for the unit (Freshwater 3). Due to budget constraints, I would like to purchase a less expensive generic unit. I am not concerned about connecting it to the waterline because the folks at hotspring made it ozone ready and marked everything, even where to cut the tubing. However, I am wondering how easily a generic unit will hook up to my control panel electrically? I am sure the hotspring model has a "proprietary" connector so you just can't hook anyone's ozonator up easily. Am I correct? If so, do most spa parts dealers sell adapters or information on how to hook generic units up to the control panel. Thanks for any help you can give!
