About a month ago I had a serviceman out to replace a bad blower. At that time he said that my pump had seized up but that he had gotten it going again.
I have not used my hot tub for about 1 week. I went out this afternoon to turn up the heat and there was no circulation and the water was cold. The GFCI had been tripped. I could re-set it and turn on the blower and that worked fine. But when I'd hit the jets button it would trip again. As long as the jets button was depressed I couldn't reset the GFCI.

I realized the pump had seized up again and with a little WD40 help got the little metal bar coming out of the pump to spin again. Now when I turn on the blower and/or jets everything is fine. But now when I turn jets off, the GFCI trips. I can turn the blower off and that's fine, but with the jets button off I can't reset the GFCI.

I don't want to leave the jets on just to keep the circulation going. How do I get circulation to return to keep everything from freezing as the weather gets cold?

The tub is about 10 years old, it came with the house when I bought it. All I know about it is that it was some sort of custom built thing from a spa place here in town. There is no digital display, only a dial to control temperature and buttons for jets, blower, and light. I'm mechanically challenged (as evidenced from my lack of ability to explain the problem adequately.)

Can someone help me? I've put almost $1000 in this thing in the last 2 years and have only been able to keep it running about 6 months total. I'm broke and frustrated!
