I need advice! I have a affordable spa which was purchased aug 2003 it is model 850 which hold 550 gallons of water it has the balboa system 2000 m7 with two motors system can only use bromine no clorine . also has a ozonator. anyway we have had the company out twice to replace pump 1 . now spa wont work and they are going to come to look at again. problem this time no power? check power going to system ok and power in gfci ok too. my feeling is to have so much porblems with spa in a 11 month time should i request a whole new system as i dont feel these problems should be normal. questioned each time pump went bad they didnt no why and replaced no problems. the reason i am stressing now is that the first 1 year warranty will be up in august and year 2- 5 will only cover 50% of repairs. am afraid of future repair nightmare.

If the incoming power is good then they will probably end up replacing the whole control box (or at least the circuit board anyways) you can request to replace the whole system but due to manufacturer warranties they will probably not allow that to happen unless absolutely necessary. Most manufacturer's will warranty new parts for a year after they are replaced, you may want to check on this when they come by... Or talk them into extending your current warranty due to all the problems that you've had over the past year.
