Hello All,
I am new to this so I hope this is right. I have a 1998 Hot Springs Grandee. I bought it used to see if the wife and I would use it. When I went to see it, it ran and worked perfectly. I have moved it to my place, had a licensed electrician run the wiring and hook it up. When we powered it up, only the circulation pump runs and I get a red blinking power light. Thats it. Looked it upin the manual and it says its a thermistor. I unplugged them both one at a time, but still just a red blinking light. I then disconnected the heater and powered it up, still just the circ pump and the red blinking light. Any thoughts or help?
Serial number GQ381146
Model Grandee
Year 1998
IQ2000 circuitry

Thanks in advance, Steve

Probably a bad thermistor. It works exactly the opposite of what you think, unplugging it will cause it to trip instantly. As temps increase, OHMS decrease.

Wow! Thank you Swine!!!! Hats off to you. I can't thank you enough. My local spa dealer that sells hot spsrings said it probably wasn't the thermistor and I would need a tech come out and check it. The service call was going to cost a couple of hundred bucks and I'm positive it was one of the two thermistors now. Thanks a million again!! Now it's on to finding the leaks and repairing them. This has got to be the very best place on the internet for hot tub help!!!!! Have a great day and I will try to post some pics of the tub when finished..........:)
