Our Artesian hot tub Model #5KCR49WN234OX (motor ultra jet by vica) runs fine on the high speed, but will not go to the low speed for circulation. I received a response to this problem saying that it may be the circuit board. Not being an exceptionally handy person, what is involved in removing the circuit board? In fact, what is the circuit board and transformer?
When we contacted our spa dealer, he said it was probably the motor. He asked us to run the hot tub and check t see if the motor got hot. It did after a while, but certainly not so hot that it couldn't be touched.
When the hot tub was turned on the second time, the motor did attempt to go to the low speed, but it kept hesitating....kind of an on/off on/off situation. Now, it will only run on high speed, and won't turn off. Flipping the circuit breaker is the only way to turn it off.
It makes sense that the control box would be having the problem. I would think if there was a problem with the motor, it wouldn't run at all.
Help?

circuit board is in the control cabinet. Take pictures of the board and wires attached. Get some masking tape, and start labeling each wire attached to the board. Each attachment point will have a unique marking. Remove all wires, screws, and buss bar (if necessary) and remove board... reverse to install.
