Hi all, Sorry this will be so long but i'm going to try and provide as much information as possible.

I have aquired a used (approx 1999) model charisma spa that uses a hydroquip pump and HT600 unit. It is 220v with a 50amp gfci disconnect. 2 hots/nuetral/and ground. The digital thermostat was bad when i got it so i have replaced that. Here is the problem i'm having

upon turning on power the low speed of the pump turns on. There is a annoying chatter/hum coming from the control box (sounds like a very loud timer, but it is not the timer)the low speed will run for roughly 20 seconds then the complete unit shuts down. about 15-20 seconds later it will start up agian.
If you attempt to turn the jets on the pump will surge and click every second or 2 for a few cycles then shut down. 15-20 seconds later you hear a light click and it starts up agian.

the light works very speraticly once it's on it stays on, but rather it turns on or not is the question. It will shut down without fail everytime.

I can hear the audiable click from the air switches for both jets and lights and the pump will respond to the jet button each time, and the lights turn off each time. So i'm suspecting a relay maybee?

There is a sensor with 2 wires in the side of the steps someone has replaced that unit and left the wires disconnected and someone has also replaced a part that i think controls the light as evident by the butt connectors crimped on the wires. I have included pics of these parts.

the wire from that sensor which ends up near the thermo stat

the box i belive to have been replaced for the light is on top second from the left

the rest of the box.

if anyone has any information i would greatly appreciate it. I will most likely have a spa tech do the work unless it turns out to be something very simple. I'm just trying to be an informed consumer before i place the call.

thanks in advance.
