I just got this spa and have identified two leaks. One appears to be a jet near the top left of the control compartment and I think I can get to that one. The second one has me scratching my head.

My spa has two drain ports (for emptying the tub) located just below the control box area. One on the far left, and the other on the far right. I am seeing water dripping from the one on the right, but I think water is following that drain tube through the wood base frame. I am thinking I am going to need to drain the tub and jack it up and start digging out any wet insulation I find.

What is the best method for removing the insulation?

What is the best glue to use to fix leaks?

Any other tips or ideas in troubleshooting this would be helpful.

Thank you!

The first thing I would check for the drain leak would be the drain cap - make sure it has an o-ring. Then check the light lens from inside the equipment area. When they leak they drip behind the plastic so you don't see water in the equipment area. Feel around the lens for any moisture. This is an easy fix and cheap. If it's not those you will have to dig foam. I put the spa on jack stands and fill it up to mark where it's dripping. I then drain it, turn it on it's side and start digging. I use a claw hammer and a pry type bar to dig. You must be very careful to not hit plumbing. I look for discolored foam and dig in that direction looking for plumbing joints. Sometimes you go right to it and sometimes you dig forever to find it.
If you get into it let us know what you find and we will go from there.
On the jet that is leaking - sometimes you can tighten the wall fitting. Remove the jet, pry the 2 tabs on the inside of the jet body and pull on the jet body to remove it. You will need a nice pair of needle nose pliers or even better a spanner wrench. Don't try to tighten too much - there is an o-ring between the rear jet body and the shell of the spa. Or, if you have easy access to that jet you could unscrew the wall fitting completely and re-seat the o-ring.
