Mine are the type that draw air from under the shell and 1 of them will not turn off 100% of the air. They have a recessed knob that turns 1/2 turn.

I would just replace the thing, but its totally burried and looks nearly impossable to find one that will even fit.

:?: Is there any fix I can try? It shuts off at least 99%.

 There is a small nipple on the knob that I could cut off? good/bad idea?

Thanks Dan

There should be a gasket or "O" ring thats easily accessable. You mihg try just flipping it over. If that doesn't work replace it.

That must be the type that draw air from the top?
The type I have just turn 1/2 turn and the knob hits a stopper. With the knob removed there is just a smooth recessed hole with a oval knob shaft.

If I could find some I would just cut the pipes (2each) and replace them. But the valve goes thru the shell and a outer fitting (piped to blower) with the sinch nut that holds the assembly. Then the jets air pipe out the bottom.

I dont want to loose the blowers boost or the control of it. So I was grasping at straws I guess.

The air is not geting in from the top side if that means anything. I tested by submirging the whole top under water.

Thank you
Danny
