 Post subject: How do I clean off spray-on insulation from pipe ????

Hi All
I have a leaking shut off valve. I need to cut it out and replace it. How do I clean off the sprayed on insulation so I could make the repair. I cant even chisel this stuff off with a srew driver. Thanks John

I use a small wire wheel or brush that attaches to a drill.

I have the same requirement. My brother-in-law who works on spas told me you can pick up a cleaner at home depot or Lowes that will remove the foam. He said it is alot like paint thinner and works great.
