Ok , now that I have finally been able to use my spa I have found a couple of jets that are not working.
There are two jets that will not operate regardless of where the jet selector handle is. They are located at different seating positions in the tub.
Where should I start looking.
Thanks..

some jet designs allow for controlling the flow, from off to full on. Check to see if the outside ring rotates. If that does not rotate, see if the center of the jet rotates. Either design allows for adjusting the flow on the jets. If they are adjustable, the part you turn will be knurled for finger grip.

Charger_1 , thanks for the replys to both my posts. I will check those jets to see if they are adjustable later tonight if the rain goes away.

The outside rings, or bezels of the jets on your TR spa don't control water flow, but do control air flow.

Notice the large "jetstream" jet in the spa? The one jet that's larger than all the others?

It serves two purposes. One is to push out a ton of water.... the other... is to be a *second* divirter valve. It rotates into three postitons. It might be stuck in one of the three positions...

It's a little tricky to operate and understand, so read on...

The Diverter lever (the lever on the bartop) has two positions. One way is considered the "standard jet configuration." I don't remember which way the handle will point for this....sorry

But the *other* direction then enables the large underwater jetsream jet to become a second divirter, with three positions. All the way counterclock-wise, Middle, and all the way clockwise. Each position will turn off certain jets and turn on others.

The point to this is to put the maximum amount of water where the users are, and not waste pump horsepower where people aren't. It has is positves and negatives as a feature...

Anyway, if it's stuck, you'll need a new butterfly assembly from a dealer, as well as a jet-wrench to remove the old one. If you need part numbers just ask 8)

Swine , you are right on the money again. I was able to turn the jetstream jet to get the other jets working. It is pretty hard to turn maybe from a lack of use? Anyway ,I finally got the owners manual today . Hot spring sent me one free of charge and it told me the same thing you did. I did notice that with the main jet selector turned one direction is for the primary configuration. When turned in the opposite direction for secondary configuration the jetstreams 3 settings are used to select the jets I want to operate.
Thanks again for the expert advice :D

Hey Swine , if you have the time would you give me those part numbers for the butterfly valve and the jet wrench? I can turn the jetstream jet but it is very hard as are all the jet bezels.
:D

Nozzle/butterfly assy: part # 34534 ($7.60)

jet wrench : part # 70830 ($30)

To remove the jetstream jet bezel, use two flathead screwdrivers, and simply pry it out. You do not need to remove the "eyeball" of the jetstream jet...it will come out with the bezel. If it's been a while, it's not going to want to come out easily... There's no other way to remove it... Just use two screwdrivers, one screwdriver on each side, and pry a little. Repeat... until it pops out.

Once it's out, dry fit the wrench to the new butterfly assy. This is so you'll know which end of the wrench to insert into the hole where you just removed the jetsream jet bezel. Fit the wrench into the hole, and fiddle around until you feel it lock onto the tabs of the old butterfly assy.

If you don't push very hard while turning counterclockwise, you run the risk of damaging the two "teeth" on the old butterfly assy that grab the wrench. Make sure you push quite hard while turning. After several revolutions, remove the wrench, reach in, and simply pull out the old butterfly assy.

When installing the new one, point the nozzle opening to the 6:00 position. You have a 75% chance of installing correctly, but it spins as you tighten it.... Any way use the wrench to tighten it. Simply pop the bezel back into the jet.

Turn on the jet, and test the function of the new adjustable jetstream jet. If you suspect that it's not working quite right, congratulations, you're in the 25% club that had the nozzle rotate out of position while installing it :P Just rei-install the butterfly assy again, and this time, cross your fingers

Enjoy

~Swine

Thanks for the pointers . Is there any way to free up the bezels on the remaining jets or are they always a pain in the butt to turn?

My experiance with any adjustable jet I have run across is that you can dissassemble them and clean them up and reassemble them and you might luck out, and you might not. Often the plastic parts either pit or get scored where the surfaces meet and that will cause friction. Another possibility is calcium and other mineral buildup on them. If you dissassemble the jets, soak the parts in 1 part muratic acid and 1 part water until the "fizzing" stops. Muratic acid will dissolve the calcium based deposits, if any.

That might help, but if not, replace.

(I suppose if you really felt ambitious, you could "polish" them with 0000 steel wool or 2000 grit wet-o-dry sandpaper...might help a little if they are pitted -never tried that though)

Do these jets disassemble like the jetstream jet?
