I am working on installing a Hot Springs Grandee (g231386). I filled it with water the other day and noticed a leak on one of the pumps. On the pump, there are the two large (maybe 2" PVC connections) and three smaller hose barbs. On one side there are two and the top one is leaking. It seemed to stop when I put a hose on it and had it above water level. Am I supposed to hang it from the top and put a check valve on it? What does it do?

I was told that the barb below it was for a drain. Is that correct? There is also a barb on the back which ins't connected. Is that ok also??

Aside from the lines on the pump, there is a small (maybe 1/4") line which comes up from under the control pannel that is also leaking. It reaches maybe 5 inches into the motor compartment and cannot hook up to anything. It is leaking water and I can't plug it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, John.
