I have a Leisure Bay spa with a filter assembly that insists on leaking around the top of the cartridge case where it fits up into the top section of the unit. I've tried o rings, telflon tape, brute force and everything else to get it to stop without any success. I want to replace it with an assembly that is trouble free and reliable. The filter assembly is a black plastic unit with 2" male in/out lets on the top. The cartridge case with an o ring that leaks fits into the top and secures with a knurled ring. It is on the pressure side of the pump and has a simple backflow valve built into the inside of the top. Any ideas??Thanks!!!

Just loosen the ring, lift the filter body, clean and re-silicone, re-tighten ring.

That will probably work but I hate to have to silicone it everytime I clean the filter. Any complete filter units that you might suggest?

We're not talking about the same thing.

Can you post a pic?
