Looking for advice on foam replacement.

I just repaired frozen/ burst pipe and check valve in my 98 Tiger River Siberian. I removed a lot of foam and am wondering if it should be replaced. That foam is so hard, does it serve as a structural component of the spa or is it just for insulation????

My plan was to support the replaced and exposed pipes with some "Great Stuff" foam where they touch or are loose. Then pack the rest with fiberglass insulation and screw some treated plywood to the base to keep the critters out. Do you guys think that will work??? Is the foam needed to support the weight of the full spa?? I have attached a photo so you can see the extent of the foam removal.

i just finished my tub, and used this stuff.

it was cheaper then buying 100 cans of great stuff, however i did have to fill in the remaining voids with great stuff, i used a hand saw to level it with the original foam and feathered it with a wire wheel, when that was complete i used 3 coats of fiberglass resin, to put that hard shell back on the bottom. BTW the foam power worked great it dries in less then 30 seconds. check it out, it almost looks original.

You beat me to it Stevel, that's exactly what I would suggest as well. Additionally, the foam is a bit more dense than "Great Stuff" and you regain the original structural integrity
