I just acquired a large Morgan spa from a friend, and I need to replace two of the jets (he had purchased two "Flutter Blaster Barrel" jets, but was unable to do the job). Any idea on how to remove an old jet and replace it with the new one ? Thanks

Post a digital picture, it would be helpful. I'm sure once we have that I can help.

Hope the pic comes thru ok.... I copied a pic from the Morgan site (the jet). It is third from the bottom, right column in the link ( http://shop.store.yahoo.com/morganonlin ... arts1.html ).

There appears to be some sort of snap ring inside of the similar jet in the unit already, but he snapped it off when he tried to replace it. It has a threaded throat that appears to be 1" maybe 1 1/4", and I am able to lock onto a hex-head and unscrew the center of the jet... but just can't see how to lift the entire aparatus out to replace the jet (with the one in the pic). The two look very much alike and are both the same size. And looking at the one in hand, I see no way for it to lock in place. Is it friction locked ? Looks like it would have to slide straight out and then the replacement shoved in. Kind of like removing the steering wheel off of the steering column in your car, need a special tool to thread into the center and extract the unit.

Again, thanks for whatever advice you can offer.

The jet is held in w/ a clip, the clip holds it to the wall fitting, the wall fitting screws into the jet body. To remove it, if the broke the clip, you will just have to do what ever it takes to get it out. I have a pretty good break down picture, could you PM me you e-mail address if you don't want to post it here?
