Hello, first time user here....
I have had some fun with my Cal-Spa at a house I just moved into. After replacing some plumbing using reducers and couplers and such, I found there is a crack at the top where this piece has 3 ways to go into it. The PVC pipe goes up under the middle opening and there are two hoses coming out of the tub and into the two side openings. The whole thing is attached to a metal frame. Looks like it's kind of hanging in the air. Anyway, the crack is at the bottom where the PVC goes up into it on tha back side closest to the tub. I need to know what the best sealant is for this type of crack. It is a black quite large 3 way junction. I have filled and re-filled this tub so much I am letting it drain just enough so I can repair that crack. So, experts I need your help in finding out the best sealant so I can maybe finally enjoy this 8-10 person tub. I can take a photo if need be..please let me know. And Thanks! Awesome site for us non spa fixers!

Sounds like you're reffering to your 3-way valve, such being the case you can try silicone but most likely you will have to cut off the plumbing and replace the valve along with however much plumbing is cracked.

another thing you might try is using a heavy bodied pvc cement and slowly build up the cement on the crack layer by layer. I've had luck using this method in a pinch. Just make sure each layer isn't too thick, and completely dry before the next layer.

Thanks both of you guys. Yes it is a 3 way valve. I just need the right stuff to put on the outside of the crack so it will block the water from seeping out. I guess I will try PVC cement layer by layer. Sounds better than silicone. And it might last through the winter better. Thanks again!

I do not know what Lowe's carries on hand, however I know home depot would be of little help. In a pinch one night I needed some cement due to the dog knocking over what I had, so I went to wal-mart and their cement was the heavy bodied type. So heavy in fact that I had a mere seconds to assemble the fittings.... I think that would work perfect for your situation.
