 Post subject: 1996 hot spring model j problem

I drained my spa and now it will not start. I have tried to reset the plug but nothing. I also tried to reset the heater but light on the control box just blinks. any advice would be great

Circ pump might be bad, or need a prime. Flashing power led is sign that heater has overheated- might be a bad high limit thermistor also.
