I have an 1989 Indoor/Outdoor Hot Springs Spa that came with the house. I'm learning about this spa and I believe the Moto Message jet is suppose to move up and down - it does not. It just stays in one area. Is this normal? What's the fix?

thx!
Dave

Make sure your filter(s) is/are clean (jet needs all pressure available from the pump to work, clogged filters will prevent it from working)

If that doesn't do it, take the cover off and inspect the motto. Is the small air tube in ok shape? You can replce it for about 9.00. If the small air tube is ok, then the only remedy is to replace the motto jet. (about 75-80)

Worth every penny if you ask me!

Usually, the tube inside the spine elongates or bursts, causing either the motto to rub against the faceplate, or not have enough pressure to work. The only replacebale part is the small air tube. The spine, head, water tube, etc, are not replacebale or serviceable.

Good luck!

You need a new Moto-massage jet. They tend to stretch and then they come in contact with the front guide and won't go up & down. Purchase a MOTO100
